10 Powerful Daily Health Tips You Need to Follow

We all want to feel our best. Unfortunately, many of us have unhealthy daily health habits that make it difficult to feel energized, healthy, and ready to tackle our dreams.

But we can change!

Throughout my life, I have grown in self-awareness, and with that awareness, I’ve developed better habits. It takes time, but it is so worth it to make these changes.

Down below, I’ve shared 10 of my top health tips that you can start using today!

Hydrate

Hydration is crucial to our bodies. Every system uses water to replenish, detoxify, and energize. Start your day off by drinking a large glass of pure water. Add lemon slice for an extra punch of detox.

Meditate

This is one of my favorite health tips! Meditation is one of the best ways to reduce stress, anxiety, and prevent depression. Studies also show that regular meditation lowers blood pressure and the risk of certain illnesses. Try to meditate for at least 10 minutes per day, and up to 20 minutes when you can, for the best benefits.

Visualize & Say Affirmations

Visualizing what you really want helps you get it! Visualization is an essential and more intense version of goal-setting. Google “guided visualizations for relaxation” or “goal-setting” to get started. Then follow up your visualization session with positive affirmations. I use Pinterest to find motivational positive affirmations. I highly recommend adding this to your meditation session for the best results.

Exercise Regularly

No list of daily health Habits would be complete without a recommendation to exercise regularly. Get your heart pumping and body moving by doing one form of exercise today. It can be as simple as taking a 30-minute walk or as intense as a spin class but choose something you like and do it every day!

Make Time for Yourself

As women, mothers, and entrepreneurs, this one is a biggie. We all need to take time for ourselves. After all, we have a lot of people relying on us. I recently wrote a post about how to fully relax, check it out for my favorite daily health tips for relaxation.

Learn Something New

Leading something new every day has been so helpful in boosting my confidence and skills. I highly recommend starting a reading list and consuming the written word. It can be self-help, personal finance eBooks, or any other topic you’re interested in. Feed your mind, girl!

Get Enough Sleep

Adults need anywhere from 7 to 9 hours of sleep nightly. If you have trouble sleeping, try a warm bath or some relaxation practices before bed to set the stage. Rest contributes to a healthier lifestyle, helps you maintain a healthy weight, and improves mental focus.

Eat More Vegetables!

You didn’t think you’d get away from this health tip, did you? Yes, we all need veggies. If you have trouble getting the proper amount, try a daily green smoothie with kale, chard, and spinach paired with ginger and carrots or bananas and apples for a real treat.

Unplug

Make it your daily habit to unplug from your phone, laptop, and other wireless devices every day. I recommend no screen or TV time an hour before bed (a great time to add reading into your routine). Whenever you choose to do so, take at least an hour a day away from the digital life to reconnect with yourself.

Practice Gratitude

Believe it or not, gratitude has positive health benefits. A daily gratitude practice can enhance your sense of well-being as well. Psychology Today notes that gratitude affects the area of the brain where we feel stress and sense rewards, like dopamine chemicals.
