I’m obsessed with essential oils and have been for decades. I credit essential oils for my healthy skin and body. You already know that I love using essential oils with lymphatic massage, but I want to share what I know about these nourishing oils with you!

Lemon has a powerful effect on the nervous system and body. Some folks like to add a drop or two to their water in the morning to support their weight loss program, which is a great idea, but I love to use it for energy.
Lemon works better than coffee to get me up and going in the morning. It’s refreshing, uplifting, and it is also great if you’re feeling stressed out.
Add a few drops of lemon to your bath water or favorite diffuser to completely de-stress and give your thinking mind a rest.
Frankincense to Enhance Your Mood & Reduce Age Spots
Frankincense is not just for biblical figures, it’s also a great essential oil for reducing signs of aging and improving your mood.
As we age, age spots start to develop on your arms, legs, and face. To help prevent them, you can work with Frankincense. An uneven skin tone and splotches can also be combated with this essential oil.

Rose also has a rich, intoxicating fragrance that captures the scent of rose petals perfectly. I like to add it into my favorite moisturizer to create a lasting, yet delicate scent that relaxes my mind and body.
In other words, rose oil is one of the best essential oils for anti-aging and relaxation!
Clary Sage for Mental Health
Clary Sage is one of my favorite essential oils for mental health and clarity. I like to use it if I feel down or blue on one of those gray Seattle days.
Its soothing properties are great for easing mood swings and discomfort that may occur during your menstrual cycle as well.
You can add it to your favorite diffuser or bath and breathe in deeply to reduce emotional stress. It’s also one of my top picks for skin care recipes.
Sandalwood Oil for Mental Clarity & Memory
When used as an incense or fragrance, Sandalwood increases mental clarity and affects memory. It also aids with attention and arousal.
If you want to reduce stress or gain better focus dab a bit of sandalwood oil on a cotton ball and take a deep inhale through the nose. Doing this will help you focus on the task at hand without arousing your fight or flight center. Research has proven this works!
