I have fallen in love with castor oil!

After intensive surgery, I started using the best castor oil and have had amazing results. My scars from the surgery are visibly reduced, and my skin feels healthier all the way around.

And I am far from the only person who has had similar experiences. In fact, castor has been used for thousands of years, dating back to Ancient Egypt.

But what is a castor oil pack, and how does it help reduce scar tissue?

Let’s find out…

What Is A Castor Oil Pack?

A castor oil pack is a process through which you apply castor oil on a piece of unbleached wool or cotton flannel and then place that externally on your body. It is usually used with heat, like a hot water bottle.

My castor oil pack includes [list how you make yours here]. Some people wonder, does castor oil go bad? But I haven’t had trouble keeping mine for months without a reduction in the quality.

Most castor oil packs are used after an injury or illness to help heal scars in those areas. While it won’t completely remove the scar, it will smooth out some fibrous tissue. It is a great choice for healing the skin since it doesn’t block pores and efficiently breaks up other oils produced by your body.

How Does Castor Oil Help Heal Scars?

Castor oil helps repair damaged skin cells and nourishes and heals scars with consistent application. Castor oil is high in fatty acids that can penetrate deep into scar tissue, encouraging the healthy growth of other skin cells.

Of course, it will take time to enjoy seeing those results, and it won’t happen overnight.

The Healing Properties of Castor Oil

So, what are the healing properties of castor oil? What’s so unique about it?

First, castor oil is high in ricinoleic acid, which is anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial which protects your skin from acne-causing bacteria and irritation. It also easily absorbs into the skin from the inside out.

Oleic acid is another propriety of castor oil. It is well known to be anti-aging and soothing for the skin. A soft, supple appearance is the result of this fatty acid. It can even be used for conditions like eczema.

Linoleic acid is also found in castor oil in high doses. This is an omega-6 fatty acid that also reduces inflammation.

How to Use A Castor Oil Pack On Scars

Step 1. Clean your scar with mild soap. Cleaning the area removes surface oils and debris that could clog your pores. Don’t spend too much time drying the area. In fact, the moisture can help!

Step 2. Add a small amount of castor oil to your fingertips, and I recommend a pea-sized amount. Don’t overdo it!

Step 3. Massage the area. Massage is great for promoting circulation. I specialize in lymphatic drainage massage, and I’ve seen firsthand the power of healing touch. Use pressure from your fingers to massage your skin for two or three minutes. Do not apply oil to any open skin, however. Also, keep the oil away from your nose and eyes.

Step 4. Wash your hands to keep the castor oil from latching onto your clothing or other body parts.

Step 5. Repeat this up to two times per day!

Store your castor oil in an airtight container in your fridge for a few months for the best results.

Consistency Is Key!

For healthy skin, apart from reducing scar tissue, it’s critical that you maintain a healthy diet, drink plenty of water, and stay consistent with your castor oil application routine.

Here is the castor oil I recommend. It is organic and stored in glass, so there is no leaching of BPA and Phthalates into the castor oil: https://shop.queenofthethrones.com/1078
