I am a firm believer that the human body is resilient and always desires to move toward balance and health. I’ve witnessed it over and over with clients as a lymphatic massage therapist, as well as with family and friends.
Finding balance, however, starts with understanding how our bodies function. As someone with almost twenty years of experience with the lymphatic system, I can say conclusively that it plays an important role in your overall health.
How the Lymphatic System Works
The lymphatic system is a key element in supporting overall wellness and vitality. What you may not realize is the lymphatic system is oftentimes called the “silent sewer system.”
That’s right! Your lymphatic system is responsible for removing metabolic waste products from your tissues. It also transports fats and hormones.
Not surprisingly, if your lymph system is overloaded with toxins and becomes sluggish, then you can end up feeling the same way— sluggish with low energy.
